Open Question: What do you do when you hit the runner’s wall?

A few months ago, I was diagnosed with fatty liver and type 2 diabetes, so I started to run. I finally lost 30 pounds in 2 months running 5 miles a day, 3-5 times a week. But since then I have gained back 15 pounds. So, what have I done wrong? I need to lose at least 50 pounds.
